The Basics of Crimping with Applicators 101 is intended to be an introduction to Crimp Applicator Training for Wire Harness Manufacturing. It covers everything that a machine operator should know including "what is an crimp applicator" to inspecting finished crimps during production on Crimped Cables and Wire Harnesses . We use the Mecal brand Crimp Applicator for the basis of this course. There are many other manufacturers of Crimping Applicators, however the fundamental ideas and insights can be used universally on any applicator.
